Square up the defender and preserve the outside space is the objective of this Overload Ruck Touch game. It is a simple game to play with plenty of possible modifications. However, as coaches it is the focus on skill execution and transition decision making on both sides of the ball that makes the game useful as Stu demonstrates in his management of the game with his U15 players.

Stu, continues his Transition Attack series and is looking to improve his players Attack Transition Speed using a 4v3 L shaped passing drill. To challenge their skills, Stu includes simple variations that make the players adjust and find solutions. Challenge point 75% that is Stu’s optimal effort target for his players performing skill drills.

Modifications for a purpose and set to challenge the players is Stu’s approach to any modified game. In this final session Stu brings the players back to the Overload Ruck modified game but with more layered modifications to accentuate the chaos of the Breakdown Transition.
