Chris is a former international referee who became one of the world’s elite officials and now leads referee performance and development for New Zealand Rugby.
Across his career, he officiated 22 Test matches and many Super Rugby games.
He was part of the referee panels at both the 2011 Rugby World Cup (as assistant referee) and the 2015 Rugby World Cup (officiating multiple matches, including as lead referee).
He also refereed and officiated on the 2013 British & Irish Lions tour to Australia.
